Relocation is not a workflow problem.
It's an orchestration problem.
A single international move touches immigration, housing, schooling, banking, healthcare, and logistics — 30 to 100 tasks over 3 to 12 months. The companies that deliver these moves deserve purpose-built infrastructure. That's what PILLAR is.
The Journey
-
2024 — The first question
Started exploring an AI real estate agent for international people. Quickly discovered the deeper problem was relocation — not just housing, but the entire move. Immigration, banking, schools, healthcare, utilities — all fragmented.
-
Antler — Validation
Joined the Antler cohort. Built a working MVP in 2 days at the Google x Antler hackathon. Won. Secured letters of intent from various stakeholders across the relocation value chain.
-
Discovery — Finding the real customer
100+ interviews with employers, relocation companies, and transferees across Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. Co-development sessions with RMCs. Key insight: everyone in the chain is struggling — RMCs drowning in coordination, employers lacking visibility, and transferees left in the dark.
-
The Pivot — From app to operating system
From employee relocation app to the operating system that relocation companies run on. 10 months of focused product development — shaped by the companies who manage moves every day.
-
Hands-on — Lived the problem
Personally coordinated an international relocation — Canada to Denmark. Every pain point, every email chain, every document chase confirmed: relocation is an orchestration problem.
-
2026 — PILLAR launches
Platform goes live. First pilot customers start running real relocations on PILLAR across the Nordics.

PILLAR in Numbers
Relocation should not feel like a chaotic chain of emails, spreadsheets, and disconnected portals. It should feel like a guided, visible, and intelligent journey — for the relocation company, the employer, and the relocating family.— Dhanesh Biradavada, Founder
